6 Days after the Relieving Judgement of the Supreme Court of Nigeria, on the 3rd of March 2023, in favour of Extension of Old Naira Notes Use till December 2023, most parts of the country where citizens have already Rejoiced concerning the Judgement and Banks Commenced Issuance of the old notes, are now recording Speedy Decline in the acceptance and use of the Reapproved old Naira Notes; especially N500 & N1000.
Some Banks have now joined some Ignorant Traders to start Refusing to collect the aforementioned Naira Notes that they issued to people. This they do over claims of a certain Currency Circulation Technicality.
The question now is: Even if there is an Endorsement the Central Bank of Nigeria is supposed to make regarding the Extended Usage of the Old Naira Notes, IS IT NOT THE DUTY OF THE COMPETENT LAW ENFORCEMENT BODY OF THE LAND TO ENSURE THAT THE APPROPRIATE CBN PERSONNEL MAKES SUCH ENDORCEMENT IMMEDIATELY, SO AS TO POWER THE JUDEMENT OF THE SUPREME COURT??
Are there Influential Individuals or Groups trying to Diminish the Relevance of the Nigerian Judiciary or Are Nigerian Law Enforcement Bodies becoming weak??
